Spontaneous

Terms of use

Last updated 17 October 2026

Spontaneous (spontaneous-app.com) helps you find things to do in London today and tomorrow. It's run by Emmanouil Makrygiannakis, trading as Spontaneous ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you have a question, email hello@spontaneous-app.com.

We don't take your booking

Spontaneous helps you discover things to do and links you to other websites where you can book or buy. Unless we clearly say otherwise, we aren't the seller, organiser, venue, booking agent or provider of the activity: any booking or purchase is a contract between you and them, on their website and under their terms - including prices, refunds and cancellations. Questions about a booking go to them.

Listings and prices

Listings come from venues, organisers, ticket sellers and data partners, and are refreshed regularly. Times, prices and availability can change at short notice, so please check the details on the seller's site before you book. A listing appearing on Spontaneous - even one marked as available - doesn't guarantee that places are still left when you reach the seller's site. Prices are shown as the seller publishes them; the final price, including any fees, is the one shown when you book.

Spontaneous is independent

Spontaneous isn't owned, run or endorsed by any of the venues, ticket sellers or data partners whose listings it shows, and they don't own or control Spontaneous. Their names, logos and trademarks belong to them.

Commission

Some booking links may earn us a commission from the seller when you book. It never changes the price you pay. We rank results by how well they fit what you choose - such as mood, time, place, group size and budget - and commission doesn't decide that ranking. If we show paid or promoted listings, they will be clearly marked.

Where our listings come from

Some of our sources ask to be credited. Listings from them say so on the listing itself.

  • Event listings from Skiddle.
  • Event and venue listings from Data Thistle. Organisers can add an event or update an event there.
  • Tours, tickets and experiences booked through Headout - the booking itself is made with Headout.
  • Sport and fitness sessions from open data published through OpenActive by the leisure operators, councils and clubs named on each listing, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
  • Listings published by other ticketing platforms, venues and studios for others to use.

Corrections and removals

If you run a venue or event and something about your listing is wrong, or you'd like it removed, email hello@spontaneous-app.com. We act on removal requests within 24 hours.

Who owns what

The Spontaneous name, logo, website, design and our own content belong to us and mustn't be copied or used without our permission. Listings, names, logos, pictures and other content from venues, organisers, ticket sellers and data partners belong to them - we don't claim them, and we'll remove or replace anything a rights holder asks us to.

Using the site

You're welcome to use Spontaneous to find and share things to do. Please don't copy listings in bulk, scrape the site or its data, or use it in a way that disrupts it for others - much of the content belongs to our sources, whose terms don't allow it.

Our responsibility

We work to keep listings accurate, but we can't guarantee that every detail is complete or up to date, and we aren't responsible for events, venues or sellers, or for what happens on their websites. The site is provided as it is and may sometimes be unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
